India and Srilanka will resume ferry service [Sunday, July 26, 2009]
At the conclusion of the second meeting of the SAARC summit, the ministers of transport of both the countries declared that India and Srilanka would resume the ferry connectivity between Kochi and Colombo shortly. In a statement, the Indian High Commission stated that the ferry service would be a very vital aspect to foster the trade ties between the two countries and would also encourage cultural interactions between the people of the SAARC member states.
