Mr A R Rahman, the reknowned Music Composer became the first Indian to bag the Golden Globe Award. He was awarded the Golden Globe for the Best Original Score in the film - drama, Slum Dog Millionaire. The film directed by Danny Boyle tells the tale of an orphan from Mumbai who wins a game show.

                   "I am so happy to have this award. Not because i need it but because (i) have fulfilled a wish of all music lovers in India to bring home a Golden Globe" .
