The government of Tamil Nadu is taking steps to initiate e-governance measures in atleast seven to eight departments so as to ensure transparent and hassle free operations. As the first step the Tamil Nadu e governance agency is etting up 5,440 common service centres in rural areas through the public private partnership initiative, followed by equal number of centres in urban areas to offer Business to citizen adn government to citizen services.
