The Confederation of Indian Industry -Southern Region has proposed to set up an Automotive Sector Group in Chennai with the support of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. The Chairman of the International Business Promotion and Networking Task force, J N Amrolia said that the automotive sector was an important industry in the Chennai region. The means of cooperation and technology transfer between Indian and Italian automobile industries was analyzed at the meeting of the CII members and automoyive sector representatives.
