The Asan memorial Association of kerala felicitated this year's Padmabushan awardees Shanta and V P Dhananjayan and Padmashree awardee, cardiologist G Vijayaraghavan. The ceremony was presided over by literary critic  M K Sanu and said that the dancer duo's contribution to the classical dance stood tall in an era of rampant westernization of culture.
