State Government has directed that District collectors and Chennai Police Commissioners should invoke Motor Vehicles Compulsory Impounding Act,1970 for movement of petroleum products from oil companies to petroleum bunks with police protection. The government has warned that permits and licences of drivers of vehicles, which refused to co-operate with the government in moving essential goods would be cancelled.
