Mr T R Balu, Union Minister for Shipping and Road Transport said that his ministry would start the work for by-pass road for Kancheepuram as soon as the State Government completed the land aquisition process. He was chairing a district level monitoring committee meeting in Kancheepuram. The 8.75 km road would be ready for commissioning during the birth centenary celebrations of former Chief Minister C N Annadurai.
