Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M Karunanidhi convened a meeting of officials to discuss on the implementation of the health insurance scheme announced by the government on Thursday. The preliminary discussions were based on the mode to identify beneficiaries, financing,floating of tenders, and preparation of the list of diseases for which the insurance cover has to be provided for. The chief minister said that it will take three to four months for the scheme to turn operational.
