Export industries in a two day meeting on Thursday discussed about the declines faced by them in Europe and US export markets. The meeting also discussed about the impact of economic recession on the livelihood of an estimated 3 lakh workers , predominantly women from lower income strata , and the viability of tanneries and other leather based manufacturing universities.
