CPI and CPI (M) cadres staged a protest at four centres against the burning of a car  and two other vehicles at the residence of CPI State Secretary D Pandian. The protesters demanded probe into the incident. The agitation was held at a bus stand in Pudukottai and was attended by Alankudi MLA Rajasekaran, the district secretary of CPI and MDMK , S P Muthukumaran,and Chandrasekaran.
