Poongothai Aladi Aruna was on Friday sworn in Information Technology Minister at Raj Bhavan on Friday. The Governor Surjit Singh Barnala administered the pledge in Tamil. Those present at the function included her senior cabinet colleagues K Anbazhagan, Durai Murugan, Arcot N Veeraswamy, M K Stalin, Veerapandi S Arumugham, K Ponmudy and Ko.Si.Mani. In her response to the press, Mrs Poongothai said that the Chief Minister had shown immense confidence and faith in her by giving her the new portfolio.
