News is that Suhasini, wife of Maniratnam, had approached Nayan to do the role of Mandotari, wife of Ravana, in the movie. But the actress said a straight no stating that the role is a de-glamorous one. Some other sources state that the actress had declined the offer due to her previous commitments. However, Nayan doesnt seem to be interested in joining the crew of high profile stars
