Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi approved the request of the President of Nadigar Sangam ,Sarathkumar, to rename Eldams road as Dr. Kalaignani Kamal Haasan Road. The proposal was made to commemorate the 50 years of Kamal Hasan in the Indian film industry. The official announcement would however be made only at a suitable occasion. To commemorate the occassion, Vijay TV had earlier planned to hold a special event. The industry is anxiously waiting to express its reverence for the 'Ulaganayagan'.
