Maniratnam's Ravan shooting was interrupted once again. This time it was the villagers in Pune who helped in the setting up of the sets that ran into trouble. The forest department has registered case against villagers for erecting sets on forest land without obtaining permission. The villagers had also dumped the building wastes into the forest land that sparked the trouble. The reports however says that the director has not been booked under the case. It has been stated as the acts done by the villagers and a problem that was created as the local coordinator of the film did not obtain permission on time to use the land.
