After the announcement of th National Film Award for the film 'Kanchivaram', director Priyadarsan came up with a new news that was not publicised yet. The character that was done by Prakash Raj was originally created for Mohanlal, leading Molywood actor. But the actor refused to take up the role on account of his busy schedule. That is how, the role canme in search of Prakash Raj. However Priyadarsan concludes that Prakash Raj well deseves the award for his commitment to the film.“My best friend Mohanlal was supposed to do the film. But he couldn’t as he had date problems. After that, I decided to cast Prakash Raj, whose fantastic performance and dialogue delivery did the magic,” says Priyan. “Prakash took ‘Kanchivaram’ to a different level. He was totally committed and did the film without any remuneration.” Cheers to Mr Prakash Raj, who is in all sense a perfect blend of how an actor should be.
