The Madras High Court granted permission for the release of 'Unaipol Oruvan'. Justice Rajasuriya who passed the order directed Kamal to pay half the sum of money that Pyramid Samira alleges to have given. The last date for the payment of the said sum is on September 30. The honourable judge also added that the failure to pay the amount will result in revoking the order. The Production company Pyramid Saimira had sought an interim stay to stop the release of the film on the grounds that Kamal Hasan had taken an advance amount of Rs 10.90 crore for the proposed 'Marmayogi' that he routed to the making of the film 'Unaipol Oruvan'. The production company alleges that the actor has violated the agreement that he will not act in any other movies till the film 'Marmayogi' is complete. The movie is expected to hit the screens on September 18th.
