'Kasi', the super hit film of Vikram is remade for the Srilankan Tamils. The film is directed by Niranjan and the film is to be re titled as 'Suriya'. The role of Vikram will be enacted by the director himself. The director who is a pilot by profession has a real interest in acting. “I loved the character of Vikram in ‘Kasi’. I felt that it would be great if I remake this film in Sri Lankan Tamil. So I bought the right of the film and remade under the title ‘Suriya’. I have also made a few changes to suit the nativity of Sri Lanka. The film has come out so well and will be released in Sri Lanka soon,” said the director.
