With regard to the issues that propped up in kollywood following the allegations raised by a tamil daily, the editor of the article was arrested. In relation to this Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi said that there was no opposition from the government to grant the bail application of the journalist and may be that has invoked the film industry to move in for a compromise. The daily expressed apologies for the news and the industry was satisfied with the way the government dealt with the issue. However, Mr Karunanidhi said that there was no follow up action required as the press and the industry works complementary to each other.
