The Dubai programme featuring Mollywood star Mammotty, organized by Asianet programme resulted in a stampede following the rush of the fans to see their favourite star.The programme was organized to felicitate Mammotty for his long lasting contributions to indian cinema. There were about fifteen thousand malayalee fans rushing in to see the star and the Dubai police had a tough time managing the crowd. Many were injured in the stampede and the police had to encircle the star to pull him out of the crowd.
