Superstar Rajanikanth who watched the special screening of 'Aayirathil Oruvan' said that the film, though not a hollywood one was of the same standards. The actor heaped praises on karthi, the lead actor of the movie. "Karthi has proved himself in his debut movie 'Paruthiveeran' itself. He has repeated the magic in 'Aayirathil Oruvan' too. Hats off to him." commented Mr Rajanikanth about Karthi's performance in the movie. He also requested the tamil industry to make use of karthi's talent in the best possible manner.
