Kamal Hasan encourages IIT'ans to work for Kollywood [Saturday, January 23, 2010]
Kollywood actor Kamal Hasan who had an interactive session with Indian Institute of Technology students, Madras said that they should help to elevate cinema to the next level. He also expressed his desire to team up with the students in this regard. He was addressing the students as a part of their annual cultural fest Saarang in the campus. The actor said that cinema making is a democratic process that can take place only with the joint interests of many. He also added that there were number of things that the IIT'ians could contribute to the betterment of the cinema industry. “The handshake between film industry and IIT has already happened. And now I want to bring my Red One camera to work with you guys.”said the actor to the gathered students.
