Kollywood actress Sangeetha will become the first female actress who would be playing a don character. She has agreed to take up the challenging role in 'Thambikottai', produced by Devar films. Sangeetha was noted for her performance in 'Pithamagan', 'uyir' etc.

                        The film which will be directed by Ammu Ramesh will have Narain and Poonam Bajwa in the lead roles. "I have an important role in the movie. Since there are not many actresses who had played a don before, I found no predecessors to follow and hence trying on my own. I am giving my best with the help of director Ammu Ramesh,” said the all enthused Sangeetha. She also said that she is very selective before actuall taking up a role, she assures that her chosen task will be undoubtedly different. The film will also have Prabhu, Meena and Kausalya playing lead roles. The music of the movie is scored by D Imman.
