Sharukh will not meet Bal Thackeray regarding the IPL players controversy  [Saturday, February 6, 2010]

Sharukh Khan who explained his stand to reporters on his arrival from London said that he was unhappy that his comments on Pakistani Cricketers in IPL was misread. But he made it clear that he would not meet Bal Thackeray to sort out the controversy. “I think what I said has been misconstrued. I am pro good relationship with countries. I am not pro some other country and not my own country. How is it possible?” said Mr Khan to the press who gathered outside the airport. When asked whether he would go to meet Bal Thackrey in this respect at 'Matoshree', the actor said that he had met the leader numerous times at his place and would love to do it again but not for discussing on the issue. “I have been there so often. Yes, I would like to go and have drink with him. But on this matter, I don’t see....there is no reason for going and asking....but if my stand needs to be explained to someone, I have already done it. I don’t think there is an issue on that front,”said the actor. He however said that he is willing to sort out any misunderstanding that has arisen in this respect. However, the state police will be very cautious in providing tight security to the theatres in the state on the day of release of his much awaited flick 'My name is Khan'.
