The presence of Amitabh Bachan all the way from Bollywood in a function to honour Chief Minister M Karunanidhi was not a casual thing.Amitabh attracted the attention of the whole gathering. He sat through the entire show and joined the kollywood it congratulating the Chief Minister. The organizers of the function had planned for a special treat to the bollywood actor. They chose a song from Bunti and Bubbly that was choreographed with Rukmini in the lead. However, the actor took a rest room break during that time and missed the entire dance number. This depressed the organizers and the dancers including Rukmini. Amitabh was also curious about the way south indian men wore Dhoti's. He said that it was an elegant and wonderous attire and was a good attire if one was comfortable with it.
