AIADMK General Secreatary Jayalalitha on monday criticized Chief Minister Karunanidhi for refusing to nominate a representative to the Mullaperiyar committee and said that was 'improper' action from his part. She said that the decision would affect the state's prospects. Jayalalitha said that the state's case might not be well represented on the panel in the absence of the representative. “In that case, would not the Supreme Court be in a position to deliver a verdict against Tamil Nadu? If so, should not the Supreme Court be approached again which could lead to more delay?”questioned she. She demanded that the state should appoint its member t the commitee to reflect its rights.
