Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachan and Vidya Balan was chosen as the best actor and actress for their roles in Paa. Vidya took both the awards due to Bachan's absence. The award for the best film was claimed by 'Three Idiots'. A R Rahman won the award for the best music director for the Delhi 6 songs. The award for the best director was bagged by Rajkumar Hirani. The award to Vidya Balan came as a real surprise as most expected the award to be bagged by Bebo or Kathrina.
