The 82nd academy awards night saw 'The Hurt Locker' movie team walking away with six awards. This put an end to the clueless tie between 'Avatar' and 'The Hurt Locker'for the best film of the year award. Kathryn Bigelow was awarded the Oscar for the best achievement in directing Hurt lockers. There was a total of ten nominations in the best award category. The best actress award was won by Sandra Bullock for her performance in 'The Blind Side'. The best actor award was won by Jeff Bridges. Christopher Waltz and Mo'nique walked away with the awards for the best supporting actor and actress.
