Kollywood actress Shriya Saran was asked to pay a fine of Rs five lakh to Pollathavan director Kathiresan, for delaying to give the dates for an upcoming film in which she had to be the female lead. The actress was paid Rs 10 lakh in advance and she delayed in giving the dates to the team. They could not also get back the advance money. The producer took the case to the producers council and the council decided that the actress should pay the money along with a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
