Samuthirakani to direct Prabhas in Kollywood [Wednesday, April 7, 2010]
Telugu hero Prabhas has a growing fan base not just in Tollywood but also in kollywood. Kollywood director Samuthirakani is planning to utilise this growing fan base for the actor. The kollywood director will cast the telugu hero for his next project in tamil. “After that, I will be making a bilingual, which will have Prabhas in the lead role. The film will be based on popular writer Indira Soundararajan’s novel ‘Sivam’.
I am currently penning the screenplay and dialogues,” said Samuthirakani. The director is also planning to cast his close friend Sasikumar for another project that would soon start. The film maker also had a short and successful stint in tollywood through the film 'Shambo Siva Shambo' which was a remake of his kollywood hit 'Nadodigal'. “working in Tollywood was a wonderful experience. I am happy that the film won huge appreciation. Top actors like Ravi Teja and Allari Naresh acted in the movie, with Roja doing a special role.”said the director.
