Yester year actress Sridevi will appear in the remake of 'Sigappu Rojakkal' remake. The film by Bharathiraja was a psycho thriller. The film had Sridevi and Kamal Hasan in lead roles. The film will be remade and will have Bharathiraja's son Manoj directing it.

The film will turn out to be his first directorial venture. The film will not be a shot by shot remake as Manoj warns. The film will be renamed as 'Puthiya Sigappu Rojakkal'. Though Sridevi is yet to give her nod to the offer, it is expected that she would be appearing in a vital role in the flick. However, the lead actors of the flick are yet to be decided upon. The music of the film will be directed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Let's look forward to the Puthiya Sigappu Rojakkal now...!!
