Kollywood star Vikram celebrated his birthday yesterday at the sets of Raavan. The year is expected to be an important turning point for Chiyaan Vikram as veteran director Mani Ratnam has plans to introduce the actor in Bollywood. Vikram will make his debut through Mani Ratnam's bilingual 'Raavan' starring Abhishek Bachan, Aiswarya Rai, Prithviraj and others.

Vikram came in as a supporting actor in movies. He was seen in couple of kollywood movies as a cop and in few other kollywood movies, It was not until his 'Sethu' directed by Bala, that the actor became noted for his immense unexploited talents. Though not a commercial entertainer, the flick pulled in tamil audience and won the appreciation of many.

The later chain of movies like 'Dhill', 'Dhool', etc brought out his action hero image. Chiyaan's multi talents were also revealed through commercial flicks like Anyan, Kandaswamy etc Though Bheema failed to become a hit, the actor was appreciated for his performance.
