Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will felicitate actor dramatist Y Gee Mahendra in honour of his valid 50 yr contribution to the Kollywood. The function will also be attended by Kollywood actor Kamal Hasan. The function will be held at the music academy in chennai. K Balachander and lyricist Vairamuthu will attend the function.

The information regarding the same was announced by Madhuvanthi Arun, daughter of Yaee Gee Mahendra. The function will also be marked by the staging of 'Vietnam Veedu' a popular drama starring Y Gee in the lead. The drama artists association is also planning to have another felicitation function in honour of the artist on September 30 in which Kollywood super star Rajanikanth would be the guest.
