Kollywood director Seeman thanked IIFA Brand Ambassador Amitabh Bachan for his considerate response. He thanked the actor for being concerned about the sentimence of the tamilians. "I thank Amitabh for coming forward to share our sentiments. Other actors too should follow the suit.

I request the actor to fight with us for the cause of Tamils." said the Naam Thamizhar Organization president Seeman. The organization had issued threats to the actor that they would picket his house and boycott the films starring his son and daughter in law. Amitabh responded by saying that he would look into the matter and that he did not choose to hurt the sentimence of the tamilians.
