Gautham Menon directed Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya completed 100 days in theatres. The flick based on a love story between Jessy and Karthik was unique in itself. Not only was it presented in a genuinely realistic manner, but also it carried its own charisma.

The songs of the flick was scored by A R Rahman and was a great hit among the masses. VTV audio release was held in London and the flick was released all over the world including theatres in UK and US. The film bagged a good collection from all places and the whole team behind the flick was lauded and heaped with praises. The film was also a noted turning point in the career of all actors especially Silambarasan. Work is on to remake the movie into other languages including Hindi.
