Kollywood actress Trisha Krishna was signed up as the celebrity ambassador for PETA - The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The actress will be the goodwill ambassador for the Angel for Animals campaign that will be formally announced on June 10. The actress will appeal to the public to adopt stray dogs and provide them with shelters. The whole offer came up after Trisha took home an ijured dog that she came across in Hyderabad. "The PETA officials approached me for the cause after they came to know about my love for dogs. I agreed whole heartedly. I am happy to campaign for a noble cause," said the actress.
