Mollywood flick on Lankan issue [Wednesday, June 9, 2010]
Mollywood action hero Suresh Gopi was in the city on tuesday for the premiere of his flick 'Raman Ravanan' whichis based on the Srilankan issue. The flick is based on a malayalam novel written by deceased novelist Kamala Suriyya.
The flick has the actor playing the role of a tamil rebel who falls in love with a Sinhalese girl. The film was in for a preview by the chennai counterparts before it is open for general audience. "It is a touching tale and I am happy that we in Mollywood made this movie even before our Tamil friends could do such a film.", said the actor speaking at the function. The film also has Nedumudi Venu, Biju Menon, and Mithra Kurian in important roles.
