Music director S S Kumaran of the Kalaivani fame said that he was totally against song remixing. "When I agree to work in a film, I would spell it out clearly that I would not do remix numbers. I sincerely feel the original music should not be tampered with.". The upcoming music director said that he was a great fan of Illayaraja and said that he is currently working on Kalingathu Bharani, Sigappu Kambalam, and Chinnakadai Theru Palani.  "I was tensed working for ‘Kalavani’. I took my own time after ‘Poo’ to chose a right script. The movie has become a huge hit and the song “Damma Duma” has become a rage. I am extremely thrilled and there is a huge responsibility on my shoulders to repeat the act in my forthcoming films.", said the music director regarding his break into tamil flicks.
