Kollywood director Seeman's brother approached the Madras High Court seeking explanation for the detention of his brother under the National Security Act. The petition was filed before a bench comprising of Justice C Nagappan, and P R Shivakumar.In his petition, Seeman's brother said that his arrest was unfair and that it should be immediately quashed. He also added that the case was an intentional one framed up to defame him.
