The production of Ponnar Shankar starring Prasanth in the lead has been acquired by Martin Productions from Thiyagarajan who was the initial producer of the flick. Ponnar Shankar is an epic film which is based on a novel by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. The shooting of the flick kick started before three years and is continuing still. The shooting is expected to pace up after the new deal. Besides Prasanth, Jayaram, Kushboo, Sneha, Sathyaraj, Prakash Raj and Napolean will be seen in pivotal roles in the flick.
