Chief Minister M Karunanidhi called upon the film community to come out with films that reflect the culture of the land. “Filmmakers should create awareness among the people on various issues and propagate rationalism. Tamil movies should reflect the culture of the land.", said the CM. He was speaking at the audio launch of 'Nagaram marupakkam', a film by Sundar C. The film is produced by Kushboo and had Sundar C and Anuya in lead roles. The firts copy of the audio was received by Kamal Hasan from Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.  Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin, Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi, FEFSI president V C Guhanathan, Vairamuthu, 'Editor’ Mohan, 'Jayam' Ravi, K S Srinivasan and Sivasakthi Pandian was seen at the function.
