Ace kollywood director P Vasu is all set to launch a sequel to Chandramukhi with Ajith in the lead. The director is awaiting the completion of Ajith's current project Maangatha to kick start the shooting of his flick. Surprisingly, it was super star Rajanikanth who recommended Ajith for the role. "It was Rajini sir who recommended Ajith for the role. He asked Ajith to play the protagonist in the sequel when the two met during the kumbabhishekam of a temple inside Sivaji Ganesan's house", Mr Vasu was quoted as saying.
