One of the greatest comedians of South India, Nagesh passed away on Saturday following a prolonged period of illness. He was 76 and is survived by three sons and seven grand children. The actor started his career in 'Thamaraikulam' and Kamal Hasan's 'Dashavataram' was the last movie in which he acted. He acted in about 1000 movies and along with famous personalities like Jayalalitha, Manorama, Sivaji Ganesan, MGR, Kamal Hasan , Rajanikanth, Vijay and Ajith. In his message, Chief Minister Karunanidhi said that 'Nagesh found a unique place for himself in the Tamil film world with his extraordinary comedy and acting skills'
