Tamil Cinema is under the limelight right from the dawning of the new decade. The Ninth annual meet of Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas saw the prime minister hailing the tamil cinema among other sources of pride for the nation. "when you see the creativity of Tamil cinema, the knowledge explosion in Bangalore, the entrepreneurial vibrancy of Gujarat, you feel proud to say you are a person of Indian origin.",the Prime Minister was quoted as saying. The release and success of big budget flicks like 'Endhiran' and 'Raavanan' has  won global attention according to sources. It is also worth remembering that their were ongoing discussions after a reputed British daily  higlighted the possibilities of investment in tamil films. Another reason for pride is the recent listing of Gautham Menon's production house, Photon Kathaas in the London Stock Exchange.
