Kollywood director Vishnuvardhan gave up his plans to direct 'Billa 2'. His decision came in the wake of a second offer extended to him. His second offer was from tollywood to direct the flick 'The shadow' with Pawan Kalyan. Though vishnuvardhan wanted to do both the projects, the dates could not be adjusted.  “Vishnu very much wanted to do both the films. But he couldn’t as dates clashed. So he took a hard decision to opt out of ‘Billa 2’ with a firm belief that his good friend (Ajith) would understand his desire to direct a Telugu film.”, sources close to the director said. Vishnu was replaced by 'Unnaipol Oruvan' fame Chakri Toleti as the director of Billa 2.
