Kollywood actress Divya Spandana has been banned from Kannada films as the actress did not attend the promotional event of a forthcoming flick. The decision was taken by the Kannada Film Producers' Association on tuesday. According to close sources Ganesh, the producer of the flick , borrowed Rs 10 lakh from the actress for completing his film. He repayed only Rs 3.7 lakh to Divya. The disappointed actress refused to attend the promotional event of the flick and Ganesh took steps to ban the actress.

However the artists association which supports the actress has decided to ban producer Ganesh till he apologises and returns back the money. Meanwhile the actress said that she has completly quit working on any Kannada films and so banning makes very little sense. “I had already announced I had quit Sandalwood. So banning me makes little sense. I am still waiting for Ganesh to return my money.”, the actress was quoted as saying.
