While some of the stars of Kollywood are busy trying to debut into the political arena in the upcoming assembly elections, the young stars have gathered together to impart to the public the value of their franchise. Actors comprising Suriya, ‘Jayam’ Ravi’, Karthi Sivakumar, Rohini, Suhasini Mani Ratnam and Vijay Antony will star in a short film that will be produced  by Election commission to make aware the public the importance of excercising their franchise. “The need to exercise one's franchise has been highlighted in the short film. It would be screened to the general public to create awareness. Former President Abdul Kalam, film personalities without any party affiliation have appeared in it,’ , said Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer, Praveen Kumar.
