Tamil Nadu police has filed cases against kollywood actors Kushboo and Vadivelu for violating rules during their election campaigns. Vadivelu was charged for promoting enimity, and hatred between parties, as he spoke against DMDK leader Vijayakanth. The case was registered following a complaint submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer by Dileep Kumar of DMDK.

Kushboo has two charges against her, one for disrupting traffic during a campaign, and a second, for not obtaining premission for additional vehicles in her convoy. Both the actors are yet to respond to the charges filed against them.
