Ace kollywood composer Harris Jayaraj donned the role of a lyricist as he penned a song for Engeyum Kadhal. It so happened that the composer felt that a song would be better than the BGM in a pivotal part of the flick. Since it was too late to get a lyricist to pen a song, Harris did it himself.

The same was revealed by him at a public function recently. The said song will appear both in the beginning and end of the flick. It is a one and a half minute folk number according to sources. Engeyum Kadhal is directed by Prabhu Deva and has Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani in lead roles.
