These are the times of historical movies. Proving this came the release of Santhosh Sivan's much talked about flick 'Urumi'. Urmi won great appreciation from the mollywood audience right in the very first day. The flick was also appreciated by Santhosh Sivan's mentor, Mani Ratnam. He said that the flick had all ingredients of a historical flick, and that too in the perfect proportion.

Urumi has Prithiviraj and Genelia in lead roles. Ace actors Prabhu Deva, Genelia, Arya, Vidya Balan, Nithya Menon and Jagadhee Sree Kumar also shares the screen space in the flick. It should not be forgotten that Urumi is Santhosh Sivan's first directorial venture. The flick is a bilingual, and will be released in English as well. It based on the Portugese entry in India, and the historical attempt to murder Vasco-Da-Gama.
