Kollywood superstar Rajanikanth is all set to start off with his flick Raana on April 20. The actor will perform a Ganesh puja in AVM studios after which he will proceed to shoot for the flick Raana.Bollywood sensation Deepika Padukone will be the female lead in the flick.

Sources reported that though the actress was confused about accepting the role, she finally decided to take it up. She has reportedly shown a lot of enthusiasm to work for the project. Raana will be produced by Eros International and Ocher Studios owned by SOundarya Rajanikanth. The music of the flick will be scored by A R Rahman and will be directed by K S Ravikumar. The Raana team will leave for shooting in foreign locales in the last week of April. The flick is expected to hit the screens by early 2012.
